Comments: Ugh. Next week I make an effort to get to sleep at reasonable hours. Maybe I can wean myself from the energy drinks, too. It’s a vicious cycle.

Comments: That was just horrible. Lack of sleep ftw. Eating DIRECTLY before lifting might have had something to do with it, as well. Just… fuck. If I’m going to lift effectively, I’ve got to be prepared, and that did not happen tonight.
Well, the other Assistant Manager put in her two week notice today. Morale is low.
While the “mini-DM” actually helped us instead of coming through like a raging bitch, the actual DM (and the regional manager, from what I’ve heard – remains to be seen personally, though) seems to be doing just that. And with the two members of management higher than me gone, I’ll have to bear the brunt of her directly for a while. Awesome.
Here’s hoping I get to keep my job and not get fired for gross incompetence!
Goddamn it.
EDIT: Disregard; I was being an emo bitch and worrying too much.
Cambered bar squats:
95 lbs. (43 kg) 3 x 10

410 lbs. (186 kg) 1 x 6
Standing cable crunches:
80 lbs. (36 kg) 3 x 10
DB Sidebends:
70 lbs. (32 kg) 1 x 10
80 lbs. (36 kg) 1 x 10
90 lbs. (41 kg) 1 x 8
Leg curls:
70 lbs. (32 kg) 1 x 10
80 lbs. (36 kg) 2 x 7
Comments: Tonight was a lot better than last week, and a lot better than I thought it would be. Maybe sleeping until 14:30 AND having a 30 minute nap beforehand helped. Now to see if I can get to sleep at a somewhat reasonable hour in preparation for work.
Oh yeah, hi. Didn’t lift this past Thursday thanks to staying at work until 23:00 making sure some things were done to the district manager’s (seemingly unreasonable) specifications. But it involved a lot of climbing and lifting, so I at least got some activity in. Yay.
EDIT: I was totally going to bitch about working too much, feeling restless, needing some sort of vacation, etc., but whining isn’t what this blog is about. Instead, I’ll focus on the positive, like how working these extra hours will allow me to purchase my laptop a little early (possibly this weekend, if I’m lucky).
This stress is wreaking havoc with my testosterone and cortisol levels, though. That’s lifting-related!
My hair is AWESOME.

Comments: Been getting really light-headed after each set lately; perhaps eating something along with the pre-workout SHOTGUN or taking something to sip on and keep my blood sugar up is in order.
1) This spinach and these mushrooms taste a lot better than they look (there’s a chicken breast involved, too, but it looks AND tastes delicious). That’s possibly my fault for simply sauteeing/steaming the fuck out of them. More work on presentation; I am rack of disciprine.
2) The plan was for going on a mountain photography adventure today, complete with fresh batteries and a full tank of gas, but it appeared that (getting started on) cleaning my bedroom and conducting a little vehicular maintenance were more important endeavours. Next week, then.
3) Have I mentioned before that I love the crisp, cool Autumn air? I just wanna go and wallow in the yard. And frolic. Both naked, of course.
4) Speaking of naked – going by all the posterior chain work they/we do, powerlifters should have nice, well-developed asses/legs. This is frighteningly not necessarily the case.

Comments: I fully expect to be able to squat 275 next week.
Also, the scale at the gym says I’m down to about 258 lbs. (117 kg)
8 more to go for the short-term – I think I can pull that off by the end of the year, at least.
