Standing shoulder presses:
45s (20 kg) 5 x 5

Lat pulldowns:
190 lbs. (86 kg) 5 x 5

Lateral raises:
20s (9 kg) 5 x 5

Straight-arm pulldowns:
170 lbs. (77 kg) 4 x 5, 1 x 6 (first rep was piss poor, so I added another)

Comments: I’ve had a hard time staying disciplined this and last week, not having my post-workout shake right after lifting, if at all, and because of that, I’ve been off the creatine for almost two weeks. I’ve lost 10 pounds, but it’s all creatine-water and it’s like losing 10 pounds of muscle. :P

11222007

Well, looks like I’m taking an inadvertant week off from the gym due to lack of a training partner and gas to drive over there (so, laziness, pretty much). I’ll take this opportunity to change from the Westside stuff for a few weeks.

I had some more stuff I wanted to talk about, but cooking/cleaning distracted me, so I guess it’s for another time!

Happy harvest festival/Thanksgiving/Don’t Trust Whitey Day.

“Box” squats:
205 lbs. (93 kg) 8 x 2

Hyperextensions:
1 x 4

Pullthroughs:
150 lbs. (68 kg) 1 x 7

Cable sidebends (high pulley):
120 lbs. (54 kg) 1 x 4

Comments: Got through the squats just fine, but everything else made my lowerback/obliques cramp like hell. Not enough taurine/water! Good thing I’m off of the Stimulant Monday.

Bench:
185 lbs. (84 kg) 8 x 3

Tricep pressdowns:
160 lbs. (73 kg) 1 x 10
180 lbs. (82 kg) 1 x 8
200 lbs. (91 kg) 1 x 6
220 lbs. (100 kg) 1 x 4

Seated cable rows:
160 lbs. (73 kg) 1 x 10
180 lbs. (82 kg) 1 x 10
200 lbs. (91 kg) 1 x 6
220 lbs. (100 kg) 1 x 4

Lateral raises:
25s (11 kg) 3 x 10

Comments: Man, changing from going “parallel” with the pressdowns to a full range of motion really decreases the amount of weight you can move. :P

Also, according to the little bodyfat percentage gadget at the gym, mine is 38%. I’m not sure how accurate that is (from what I hear, they’re generally horribly wrong), but I shudder to think that it could be anything above 30. I know I’m fat, but I don’t think it’s THAT bad. That would be 121 lbs. (55 kg) of extra manblubber. Fuck that.

“Box” squats:
205 lbs. (93 kg) 8 x 2

Hyperextensions:
3 x 10

Pullthroughs:
150 lbs. (68 kg) 3 x 10

Cable sidebends (high pulley):
120 lbs. (54 kg) 3 x 10

Comments: Doesn’t look like a lot of weight, but when you take into consideration that the first three exercises are hammering the posterior chain, it adds up to a bit of muscle fatigue. In short, I’m, as they say in Russia, “tired as fuck.” As it should be.

While getting gas yesterday, the Paki (it’s not a slur if I know for a fact that he’s Pakistani, is it?) behind the counter asked if I was Jewish. So naturally, I conveyed my disgust and assured him that I hate them just as much as he does. I kid, I confessed that I simply like the beard. The only thing Jewish about me is the beard. Well, and a great love of bargains.

Also, the Southeast drought is apparently so bad that in some areas (in north Georgia, at least) firemen won’t put out a fire if the house is already 50% or more burned and there’s no danger of loss of life. We need some goddamn rain and STAT.

I wonder if there’s going to be a mass exodus from Dixie if this gets too bad…

Comments: Thanks to the Stimulant, I’m cramping like a motherfucker. Hands, feet, ass, EVERYWHERE (OH GOD MY ENTIRE FOREARM JUST CRAMPED/CURLED WHILE BEATING MY CHEST). I’m going to pick up a tub of taurine tomorrow to help combat that! Also need to accost Douchebag about hiring me, even if only for the holiday season, but that’s neither here nor there.
