Alright, so I went to the bookstore-to-be Monday after realising I didn’t know the number to call, and the guy said that he was still sifting through applications/waiting for more applications (grossly overestimating the desire of the Daltonian public to work in a bookstore, apparently) and that I should call Wednesday (today, duh) if I don’t hear from him by noon. Well, I’ve rung him twice to no avail, and am preparing to pay the pre-bookstore a visit, though with no guarantee that he’ll even be there. Maybe he at least has Caller-ID and knows that I’m very interested in the job.
I grow angry, and thus more confident. I’m pretty sure that’s a good thing.
I’m going to beat the shit out of something if I’m not hired, moreso if it’s because of the hair and/or beard. Or being male (though the beard could be lumped with that, presumably), since the chick who was there for an interview the same time as me Thursday was filling out paperwork Monday.
Maybe I should have made this entry private, on the off chance that he’s internet-savvy enough to find it.
EDIT: Went by the store (and the mall in general – lots of scantily clad Halloween whores, God it was great), but he was busy talking to another employee and getting ready to open tomorrow, but another guy would tell him that I stopped by. I know opening a new store is a lot of work, so do I have a right to be angry? I’m going to be anyway, but I’d like to know if I’m justified.
